VidMob is a leading ad tech platform that uses AI & machine learning to understand creative decisioning and its impact on campaign performance.
During my time at VidMob, our team worked to create materials for all types for marketing, sales, and product teams.
While most of this work was hands-on concept, content, and keyart creation, I also had the opportunity to direct a production company to help us meet our deliverables.
Driving Results with the Power of Conversion-Focused Campaigns
This 360 digital marketing campaign, created in partnerships with WBR, encompassed the design of an ebook, the creation of data visualizations and illustrations of key insights. The final product held a unified visual theme and voice and made browsing the dense content a joy.
To complete the family of assets, supporting touchpoints guided viewers from social media to sales emails, blog graphics, and partner PR materials; all funneling to a conversion-focused landing page for eBook downloads and user information collection.
The social activations for this campaign engaged a creative audience by humorously addressing common design requests, such as "make the logo bigger" and "why isn’t my CTA working?" By breaking our guidelines, we demonstrated that it's acceptable to decline such requests when backed by data. This campaign deviated from our usual style (since the point was to break our style guide) garnering significant online attention and achieving one of the highest engagement rates for an organic social campaign we’ve executed.
Amplifying Voices: Elevating Employee Retention and Hiring Efforts through Storytelling
A portion of our social cadence was focused internally, showcasing our employees by amplifying their voices and perspectives, whether through thought leadership or personal storytelling. This approach fostered a more authentic brand voice and a tighter sense of community.
Shown here is how we leveraged our AdAge Best Places to Work Award to feature personal narratives from employees. We created a nine-piece Instagram grid with carousels highlighting each employee's photo alongside a quote. These posts were resized for LinkedIn, Facebook, and Twitter, and all linked to blog articles where they shared their experience working at VidMob.
This organic and authentic approach to employee engagement enhanced retention and recruitment by making employees feel valued while providing the broader marketplace with insights into VidMob's workplace culture.
Celebrating Employee Culture
A key objective of our brand social strategy was to create a platform for highlighting our culture and values. These initiatives allowed us to celebrate the diverse backgrounds and experiences of our employees. We addressed a variety of topics, including climate awareness, cultural and religious holidays, LGBTQ+ issues, and accessibility, with many subjects aligned to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and others proposed by our internal culture teams.
Additionally, we integrated our mission and values into our employee branding and promotional gifts by selecting ethically sourced and sustainable items. Our focus was on reusable products that are less likely to be discarded, reinforcing our commitment to sustainability.
